Technical Facilitation

Facilitation skills are important in most project and program management activities as well.  Think about how many meetings you attend on a daily basis. What if these meetings and workshops were skillfully facilitated, enabling the group to come away feeling productive and fully energized to tackle the work at hand!  For example, Alicia helped a City of Portland team jumpstart a project by recommending Agile with Scrum as a framework to ensure that a critical deadline was met. She facilitated upfront and ongoing requirements-gathering and charter-building meetings, led Agile Sprint planning meetings and Retrospectives, and coached team members on meeting management and facilitation techniques.  The team met the 8-week deadline, and was highly praised by upper management for the project’s success.
